The FUTURE is NOW!

Unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) – singularly referred to as unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) or, in the common vernacular, drones – are inherently safer, faster, more versatile, less costly, more environmentally friendly and just plain smarter, when compared to the typically utilized fixed-wing aircraft or helicopter-based aerial survey, inspection, photography and video platform. To provide our clients with the high-quality information they need and demand, Advanced Aerial Services, LLC uses the most technologically advanced unmanned aircraft systems (drones) available today.

Many nations have for several years been using UAS for purposes beneficial  to civilian applications such as farming, survey and inspection of electric utilities, pipelines, mines and stockpiles, wind farms, hydro-electric dams and impoundments, factories, refineries and plants, and for search and rescue operations, to name a few. In the United States, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulates all air traffic within The National Airspace System.

The FAA’s primary function is to ensure safe operations within the National Airspace System, which is evolving from relying on ground-based navigation aids to a GPS-based system. Because of the inherent differences between UAS and manned aircraft, integrating them into the nation’s airspace is a complicated challenge for both the FAA and the aviation community, and requires that operational issues, such as training requirements, operational specifications and new technology be thoroughly considered.

In 2015 the FAA began a process that enabled the commercial use of UAS. A specific flight authorization process is now in place, by which companies such as Advanced Aerial Services can safely test UAV (drone) systems and designs and promote commercial applications and operations. By working within this established system, Advanced Aerial Services, LLC is contributing to the finalization of the process, and is on the forefront of this new and exciting industry.
